Strong Entries in NZ Ice Cream & Gelato Awards 2023

We're excited to receive more than 270 entries from 24 ice cream and gelato producers.  It's encouraging to see a number of new companies taking part this year, especially small companies and Scoop Stores.

With strong entries across all categories, Gelato is again the largest single category. Innovation is alive and well with record entries in Open Creative and New to Market categories. A move toward more plant-based ice cream alternatives has over 20 entries in the Dairy-Free category.

Judging takes place over the weekend of 29 and 30 July at Americold, Manukau. Jackie Matthews will lead a team of over 20 expert technical and food judges, many of whom judged the Awards last year. They will be supported by a team of 12 stewards.
